Benoît Mandelbrot dies aged 85

It has been reported that Benoît Mandelbrot, the father of fractal geometry and one of the most famous mathematicians of all time died on Thursday at the age of 85.
His wife, Aliette, who he married in 1955 confirmed his death was caused by pancreatic cancer.
